In this letter, I tell you a little bit of how I was inspired to design a pattern and it’s colours.
The colours in the basket
Something happens to me when I see all the colors of the quilt fabrics in the basket. In each fabric there are design opportunities that mean a little extra to me as a designer.
If I look closer at the cotton fabric with the gray with some pink tones, I can remember that I was inspired by the seed pods of the rhododendron flowers outside the window. I thought they were so beautiful when they stood upright inside the big bush.
The result was a new light grey design with the pink colour of the original flower. Isn’t it beautiful?
